I don't mean specific resorts, but where did you travel and when you left you said "Well, that was fine, but once was enough!"I would have to have these on my list....enjoyable in their own way, but ONCE WAS ENOUGH! 1. New Orleans 2. Sicily (Italy)

Did not stay in a timeshare but as far as places that I have been and don't feel compelled to go back those would be:Galveston TX, Salt Lake City UT and Bear Lake UT (Breath taking lake but not much else going for it. Would rather stay in Jackson WY) IP: Logged |

Because of respiratory problems, I would not go back to Park City, Utah. I'm assuming this is a common problem there for visitors because the unit we stayed in were supplied with humidifiers. This is the first time this has ever happened to me and it's a sad shame because Park City, Utah is truly beautiful. ------------------ *~Trish~* Check out my Journals at RCI Community. Grand Bahamas Island and Jamaica. I don't want to go back but I might anyway in the future just because flights are readily available and the golfing is okay. I probably won't go back to Aruba since I don't fancy the constant wind although the food is pretty good. St. Croix is a crappy island as well. IP: Logged |

I was not crazy about my recent stay in Fort Lauderdale....too city-ish....don't like laying on the beach with the cars whizzing by!And I like Orlando....or maybe it is just Grande Vista that I like...I don't care if I ever leave the property Hate anywhere there are really AGRESSIVE beach vendors. ------------------ Pat My Trips and Travel Website - Pictures and More... New Orleans - once was ok Montego Bay - once was once too many! Cairo, Egypt - the pyramids and sphinx were fascinating but once is enough. Beijing, China - loved it but once is enough, although kids want to see the great wall. We said the same about Paris and went back anyway because the kids wanted to see it. Orlando - too far and no desire to relive the Madness..I mean Magic of Disney Belgium - nice but why go back? Luxembourg - again nice but why go back? London - ooh, no thanks. What a dreary time we had. Hong Kong - interesting but once is enough. Hanoi, Vietnam - interesting but once is enough. Bangkok, Thailand - interesting but once is enough. We would absolutely LOVE to go back to Spain and Rome. Once is definately not enough.

We all have our favorites. I think that it is sometimes the weather, whether or not we're in a good mood, who we are with, if money is really tight then it reflects on so many of our options. Think about it.IP: Logged |

I'm surprised to see Orlando on so many lists. Never been, no great desire to be there, especially after finding so many people thirsting after it, then the common line that it's overbuilt but filled during peak season... I'd begun to think it was The Prime Directive for so many people. not that I thought there was anything wrong with me not wanting to go ; ) I can't add to this list yet - haven't been enuf places in adulthood. Bahamas (Nassau, P.I.). The people, at least the ones we ran into, were quite unfriendly and rude. Don't need people to be overly sweet in fact that would be just as bad. But a simple acknowledgement of a hello or a simple greeting would be nice as opposed to a look of "don't bother me". ------------------ Charter member of the TUG Cruise Group. IP: Logged |

Course once you have been there, why go back ?What I mean is, the emotional elements of a new place only work once, the awe and wonder or surprise of will only happen once. After that its a rehash............Peter ------------------ One of My Web Sites. IP: Logged |

I cannot think of any for now. Our vacation time is very limited so we actually have not repeatly visit many places at all. Orlando used to be on on the list. We had a dreadful time there when our kids were little (infant and toddler). Six years later, they begged us enough for us to go "just one more time". We went back again in 9 month and bought into the Disney Vacation Club. Never say never. IP: Logged |

Ensenada Mexico - Someone on another forum thought the Ensenada was spanish for toilet. After spending an afternoon there, I tend to agree. This was a port of call on a cruise. Next time, it's either the winery shore excursion or staying on the ship and sitting by the pool with an umbrella drink in my hand. Nassua Bahama's - I quickly tired of telling them I don't want my hair braided. No bargains in the shops. Nice place to snorkel but that's were it begins and ends. Next time I'm on a ship that stops there as a port of call, I'll either take a snorkel tour then return to the ship or just stay on the ship. Orlando - Wife hate's the mouse and I hate the prices [This message has been edited by dougp26364 (edited 04-26-2005).] [This message has been edited by dougp26364 (edited 04-30-2005).] IP: Logged |
